The  photograph (above) is taken from a cable car which rises for 1000m above the old city.  The Town Hall square can be seen close to the centre of the photograph, with the  Black Church to the left. The White Tower is towards the top of the picture.

Brasov is an ideal base for organising excursions to the other attractions of Transylvania and the Prahova Valley. Accommodation is available at a reasonable price, and there is a good selection of bars and restaurants.
